Red VRS 6 Hours Later!!!

Featured Replies

As it was a nice day today i thought i would give my lovely Red VRS a good clean! I did intend on just washing and drying, but got carried away  I ended up washing her all over with Poor boys Suds, then washed the wheels with bilberry wheel cleaner. I added some Meguires quick detailer to her while she was still wet and then dryed of with a microfibre towel. Then clayed the car all over to get that tar off, and other horrible black dots! polished all over by hand with poorboys carnauba wax followed by some dodo wax (damn it smells nice :D) then did the inside the car and inside the door seals all with many more products! Now i am Shattered!... also helped my Mum do her new 500!

enjoy the pics :D

Liking the black grille against the red...mmm...now shall I do my spare surround black? :D

Have a good night fella, you've earnt it

Cheers

Nice job there Fella,

You can tell its been a nice day aroound the country today as the styling and car care section is busier than normal.

I washed and dried both my car and my dads today and my knees are cream crackered. I think i need to invest in a kneeling pad or get some trousers with knee pads in them.

I am gonna get some Dodo for my car in the next few weeks. I'm gonna get the Lime and Dark sample set from one of the online retailers to try out.

I hope someone was supplying you with ample cups of tea/coffee whilst you were doing all that hard work!

hahaha i wish, house was empty... apart from all the car cleaning gear lying around every where :D you will love the Dodo, it smells great and is so easy to apply and take off! I used the wax with my hands to apply as its so soft... only problem was washing it off my hands :o they were waterproof

Thanks for the comments thou!

That looks great, good work!

Wish I had decent weather today :thumbdwn:

I'm a fellow Dodo fan  Works very well, easy to use and smells awesome :o

Ha ha I had a supply of tea today whilst working hard.:P

Which particular Dodo did you use? Hard or soft wax?

Soft wax Banana Armour

A dodo hard wax (blue velvet in my case, oh my god the smell! :)) followed by supernatural looks incredible, hint hint ;)

 thats not cheap wax, i would rather pay for someone i know to do it and includes supernatural in his price

Yeah blue velvet is the one i'm going for but I think i'll have to save a little more for the supernatural but I am working on my product collection week by week.

How shiny is that exhaust pipe?

Care to share your secret? I've tried Autosol but it got it nowhere near that!

Overall car looks really good, any reason why you didn't dress the tyres? I think it just finishes it off, IMO

Loving the grille too, very nice...

I just have the panel pot of supernatural, £15 IIRC. Don't be fooled by the name, there's enough to do a whole car a good few times.

Once it's run out I'm getting me a big pot

hahaha the exhuast is not as good as it looks, close up its a bit caked? but i have used some bilberry on it, I left to soak for about 10mins, I also used Meguires NXT metal polish!

And lol I don't have anything to dress the tyres with,

And Leodhasach i agree the panel pots are great, i bought two pots from the guys at dodo stand at piston heads and still have loads left!

Ah but who's really going to inspect it close-up? :)

Megs Endurance tyre gel (the purple stuff) is very good  and also smells good...wonder if anyone gets admitted to A+E after accidentally eating nice-smelling detailing products?

Btw, are you pleased with the black grille? Looks spot-on to me :)

  • Author

Yer very pleased, glad I went for black and not coded, just need some black skoda badges now!

Cheers!

Great work, I also noticed the great exhaust result  Let's have a close-up shot of it then, see how it fares :)

I'll also be doing some red detailing this week :D

Steve

That looks extremely clean, and the black grille suits it. You just need anthracite wheels now.

Ill try and pop a picture up of the exhaust

and i am looking at anthracite wheels... or just new black ones :D

Great work and a lovely glossy finish on Red.........

Very nice job indeed.

Car looks really nice. :)

A credit to you, the colour came up lovely.:wow:

Looks great matey! I love the red furby, looks good with that black grille surround too!

Oh great, I can get one for 1800 a year on insurance now! Oh wait? That's bad! Haha, I'll stick to my furby for now :D

Looking good, saw a red Fab vRS going towards Newbury direction this morning on the A34 a bit past Didcot IIRC.

It is quite an experience being overtaken all the time instead of doing the opposite

Looks great mate good work

excellent job, mines is badly in need of the same treatment :(
