JVC AVX-810 Fitted

Featured Replies

Meant to throw the photos on here after fitting this recently :) really happy with it. Managed to pick up a second hand 12 disc MP3 changer to go with it and fitted it in the old changer box. Not tidied the wiring up yet, so excuse the mess.

Functionality is excellent on it, it allows you to browse USB devices and mp3 DVDs in windows explorer style - folder on the left, files on the right. I've plugged a 40GB HDD into it with no qualms - it just takes it a minute or so to index it on first connection.

Sound quality is brilliant, and it gives you a full equaliser so you can tune any part of the range as well as a dedicated sub out line that can be tuned.

Not really used the DVD function on it, because that's not really what I bought it for - everything else works in a well laid/thought out manner.

My only gripe is that the dimmer control for night usage doesnt dim enough (If you've got it running flush with the dash, you've got to go into the display menu and turn it down manually) - though the night glare gets cut down to a completely bearable level if you set the front to tilt closer to the line of sight than viewing it off cant.

You cant add GPS later to it, though you can add bluetooth, I'll be buying one this week and reporting back on it :)
