I have just bought an HP Mini running Linux

SUSE, and I have a problem reading from an

external CD/DVD rom.

I know, or think, I do not need to "mount" it,

but it is not visible to the file manager.....,

open an xterm and type `mount` then post the results up here.

But it will mount a music CD, no problem, not that

I can see it.....

If I Insert a DVD it gets ignored?

No idea, but if I run it with a music CD, it will show the icon on the

desktop and auto run Banshee. Try the same with a DVD and nothing :confused:.

It's an HP 2133 if that helps.

Moved. Not really Hotel material.

Well after all the sodding about, it looks like

my external DVD drive is fooked.

Just need to try another one......
