discs all round on my 04 vrs need replacin after 30,000 miles lookin at black diamond grooved f+r discs and BD preadator padsanyone used them good/bad any info would be appreciatedcheers in advancerob

Apparently you get quite an annoying tick, tick, tick, tick noise when fitting drilled/grooved discs cause by the grooves and hooles passing over the pad, and they also where your pads down much quicker too apparently, its advisable to just use stard discs with uprated pads, tis cheaper too, and also do a brake fluid change with some high performance fluid that has a higher boiling point.

I had Black Diamond grooved discs and Predator pads on my Focus. They wore very quickly compared to standard and towards the end were suffering from killer fade so I wasn't that impressed really. And they rusted regardless of what they say their coating is supposed to do.

so what would be a good pad to go with standard discs??

Tarox Strada, DS2500

Don't buy EBC GreenStuff

With regards to the tick tick tick tick noise, Yes you do get it that noise, We had it after fitting Tarox Sport Japan discs and Strada pads to SWMBO's Saxo, Having said that you only heard them if you had your window down and as the Fabia has Aircon why would you have your window down to hear them?

As for Life expectancy the Tarox Sport Japans lasted the whole time we had the Saxo (over 3 years) and it was driven hard and we never had any trouble with them.

cheers guys for responceshow bout standard discs plus BD preadator pads????

I haven't tried the pads independantly of the discs so I don't really know which was the weak link. A lot of people really rate the Ferodo pads but they do seem a bit pricey compared to stock.
