NU Didn't quote me happy - they wanted

NUD saved me about

didn't quote me happy either 4000 quid on a lexus is200 granted i am only 23 but elephant can seem to manage 800 quid go figure

About 1500 quid for me IIRC

I got my comedy quote from them this morning.

Only 50% more expensive than DL & LV

I'm "guessing" it's because NUD were targetting a different market at the time you got your quote, whereas you satisfied certain criteria with Elephant.

Insurance companies have preferences for who they like to cover, and this varies from sales-target-period to sales-target-period.

Rob.

NU quoted me - when i EVENTUALLY got a fecking indian call centre worker who actually spoke english, seeing that website constantly crashed, a quote for

i didn't. tried several times always got our tea leaf friends. all at varying times during the day.

our tea leaf friends

Hmm...when I call during office hours I always get routed to an English call centre...
When I called NU Direct last week in the morning I got their call centre in India. The lady I spoke to asked me to confirm that I lived in 'Cam Brid Ger Shire' (pronounce Ger as in German).

joking...obviously. but it does annoy me sometimes when companies do things like this all in the aid of 'cost cutting'

i have no problems with anyone of a different race/creed/colour at all. but atleast you can understand them when you talk to them FACE TO FACE, down the phoneline its a whole different kettle of fish.

bah. bring back 'Deborah' and her malteaser antics.

call centres based abroad = :thumbdwn:

Yep , couldn't agree more.

I dont give a toss what they look like as long as I can achieve what I phoned up for.

If that doesn't happen because the call centre staff either don't know what they are talking about (tech support who have never seen the product) or we can't understand each other then the company haven't saved money by moving jobs abroad. They have completely wasted all the money they are still spending.

NU was the most expensive quote for me- Direct Line were the cheapest.

Yep I know people made redundant by call centres here to more to the sub-continent. I guess it's a British thing, some other countries would refuse point blank and protest hugely if they went away from there.

I recently phoned National Car Rental and was connected to the Sub-Continent to a woman who asked me what country Las Vegas was in...... At least the Irish women in Hertz understood and got my business. Got a phone call from Orange last night offering me a different contract phone package. She was trying to offer me it but couldn't understand the Scottish Accent and babbled on constantly, but when she eventually understood, No I don't want it she just hung up. Customer Service is obviously not a stong point. Oh and my Friend phoned Rail Enquires and got India. Try and gat and Indian to spell and understand Milngavie. If you think Cambridgeshire is bad!

At least the company I work for still has UK call centres- Dearn Valley and somewhere else I believe.

Sorry Guys - fully comp, and English speaking = 700 euros, and thats with road side recovery and hire car for the duration of car off the road.:thumbup:

I get the feeling that Geoff is a "disgruntled person under canvas" :P

LV just quoted me
