30,000 mile service & console bushes???

Featured Replies

My car is now due it's 30,000 mile service and end of warranty check over. I've seen mention of the console bushes being replaced @ 30,000 and wanted to confirm if they are replaced on this service or not.

If so i'll get the Ibiza Cupra one's and get them to fit them etc..... Also this is a daft question but would i need to order 2 or 4 of the Seat one's???

Cheers

Dave.

Console (TCA rear bushes) scheduled as part of 30,000 miles service - nope! Wear and tear I'd reckon, remember that you should not expect Skoda to fund replacing them with Cupra ones, I'd say your best plan is to pay for this yourself and get a good local VAG indy to do this job.

Its two of the Cupra "6LL *** ***" that you will need - one for each side. The strange thing is that it is now said that only the TDI Cupra normally gets these bushes fitted at the factory - the 1.8T one seems to get the same as Polo GTI and everyone else. So make sure that your Seat parts place does not fob you off with improved "6QO *** ***" ones.

they wont change them as part of the service. you need 2 console bushes (these are the rear wishbone bushes), but while they are being done get them to change the front wishbone bushes as these are weak too. you need 2 front bushes, powerflex ones are popular (part number pf85-601 approx £38 for the pair) i think but make sure with a search on there website. mines booked in for the same on tuesday costing £110 to fit the bushes which is about right i think. hope this helps
