Hello all

Hi,

This is my first post so a big Hello to everyone.

Bought an ex demo Octavia Est 1.9PD 105bhp in September 2007 & we haven't looked back since. I'd owned a 51 reg Seat Leon tdi 110 previously and prior to that an Ibiza X reg tdi 90. As you can gather I like the VW marque !!

Getting into the Octavia and driving it seemed uncannily like the Leon due to the dash lay out, etc. I did, and still do, find the Octavia,s engine more resonsive though.

I'd like to try the 1.9 130 tdi and maybe next time I would like to own & run the 2.0 tdi 140...or a VRs estate!

Thank you for answering my question regarding location & replacement of the pollen filter:thumbup:. Euro Car Parts sell them for approx £9.30 inc, a dealer quoted me £35.00 fitted.

My Octavia's booked in for it's 1st variable service next week as it'll be 2 years old by then. I'm using Millers 'XF Longlife 5w-30' fully synthetic engine oil at £45.00 inc for 5 litres, is this a good price? It has the VW accreditation marks on it of VW 507 00.
