Can anyone tell me how and if it is possible to remove the high level brake light shroud on a mk 1 octy hatchback? I can remove the bulb assembly , but cannot see any way to remove the shroud as I need to remove it to clean behind as im fitting tints next weekend and it will make it a whole lot easier to do .Any help appreciated .Thanks in advance.-Dave:thumbup:

Yes, the cover that sits against the glass does come off.

I can't remember exactly how though, but I think it clips in and you need to draw it downards against the angle of the glass. It probably helps to be nice and warm, either in the sun or (more likely with the weather this week) use a hair dryer/hot air gun. Hopefully someone who has done this more recently than me will be along to assist further.
