Chipped 1.8T again

Featured Replies

Chipped AGU NDBW, I can detect subtle lack of linear response, uder boost, which seems to go away after it's fully hot, sat after 3 miles, I do not use much boost until water temp is up to normal, but the 1st couple of times I use it it's not 100% smooth. Anyone experience anything similar.

I wouldn't worry too much. The engine is a bit of a dog when it's cold.

Trying owning a turbo diesel. Its a barrel of laughs when cold. :D

Aha! The mysterious (or not so mysterious) mis-quoting phantom strikes again! You know he's not emailed those piccies yet!

It even sounds like a turbo diesel when it's cold...

Could the small drop in accelaration be overboost related, symptoms are relatively subtle, wasn't there prior to chipping, and goes away when good and warm.

Perhaps but.....the overboost related symptons will be present whatever the engine temp as they are rev related.

Mine RS (remapped) is very lumpy if I drive off without letting the VVT sort itself out first thing. Almost kangaroo style driving. :o I always let the revs settle to it the 1k (approx) mark before driving off.

He's not biting G. :D:rofl:
