Glove Compartment

Featured Replies

I hava a skoda Favorit, 1991 unless mistaken.

I need to remove the dashboard to repair the blower controller as some wire is cut.

Managed to ALMOST remove the dashboard, but I could not remove the glove compartment in any way.

Any tips?

Undo the bolt holding the gas strut to the lid. Then remove the two screws at the back of the lid and the ones at the front. Grab hold of the bit inside the bin and pull forward. Putting your hand in the right hand bit to help bring it forward night help. Your aim is to bring the top of the glovebox out from under the top of the dash. It may need a bit of persuading. It should just lift out then.

Did all that, removed the screws and gas strut, but the back of the glove box still seemed to be stuck. So just 4 screws then? Cause I thought I was missing something. I'll try again. Hope it comes off this time.

Thanks for the reply!
