Pulling over the road

Featured Replies

Hi guys, quick question my car fabia vrs has just turned 2years old and something is sadly wrong with it. The steering wheel will pull to the right quite often (not all the time). Secondly when i brake hard the car pulls to the right...

Any ideas what it could be? The cars going in for a service next week,

Cheers

Chris

Pulling to the LEFT (following the camber) is quite common, and apparently normal, but pulling to the right isn't! First port of call would be to add an alignment check (or at least a tracking check) to the list of things the garage should look at...

Think the tracking is out, as the from right tyre has uneven wear, could that cause it??

Yes, its the equivelent of one wheel trying to turn whislt car is going straight

From what you say, it looks like your tracking is way out. The other obvious possibility is that you have a binding RHF brake.

If the tracking was out, wouldn't it constantly be pulling??

split console bush allowing excess movement of the wheel

Would this be a warranty job?

Would this be a warranty job?

You may get lucky, but as they're a rubber bush they may be considered a consumable.

You should be able to check them by sliding your head under the car just behind the front wheels Look for something like this you can't miss em. Be easier to jack up and look but its not 100% necissary

They'll probably be the voided ones with just a rubber stick either side unless the cupra ones are fitted.
