To be honest . . . i think it looks a bit naff , the wheels are poo & the leather seats dont look half as good as the 1/2 leather

Sorry to any LE owners but this is just my opinion , but at the end of the day its down to personal choice . . . bit like Marmite

the leather seats look a bit like you'd see in a dominatrix torture chamber

Perhaps skoda will release gimp mask and dog collar as options :confused:

For sure ... the LE is a bit of a Cleveland Steamer.

Jazzy leather .... nice in winter without heated seats, Halfords wheels and a brillo pad finish ......... good luck with that one Skoda UK. Maybe one day they might engage with a group of enthusiasts to see what the vRS buying "masses" would like to see on an LE?

Have to say I think we are in danger of alienating those members on here that DO like it and have bought one with this constant slagging off of the LE. As has been said it is marmite, love it or loathe it, but it is part of the skoda family and maybe we should stop going on about it so much. In my opinion it is no worse than what some people on here chose to do to their cars with added bling wheels here and plastic stick on bits there. Each to their own I say.

Fair enough ........ and I agree with that, but it does not stop me having an opinion. I mercilessly slagged off the Roomster, but also commented that if the functionality was there I would buy one ...... and I did, it's still fugly ..... but it works

The vRS LE is not a patch imho on the Mk1 WRC edition which was packed with useful extra's. This, like the Fabia LE is just an exercise in shifting a few extra units. Of course all manufacturers are guilty of that, but when you get under the surface of the Skoda marque and see the phenomenal racing and rallying pedigree they have, then surely they could do more to play to those strengths when building an LE for any model in the range?

Certain persons have been slagging off/offering their opinions on the LE for months now and so much of it has been negative. I see no photos of members LE Octys on the site so far - is this because owners are worried about putting up their pride and joy to be ripped apart by a certain few? I have to say, I'd be apprehensive.

Briskoda, since I've been a member, has been a community of like minded persons discussing their cars and helping each other out - not dissing each other and their cars.

Never stopped me posting up pics of the vRoomster ... people can say what they like, I am not so sensitive as to take it personally, it's just an opinion. As for why we have not seen any ...... maybe people are not buying apart from 1 or 2 and those that have will have their pride an joy sitting on the dockside at Grimsby whilst the interior is being ripped out and sent to seat surgeons and the perfectly good an aesthetically pleasing Zenith's are being removed for the ripspeeds.

I don't think anyone has "Ripped" apart the LE, but there has been plenty of negativity, but you would prefer it if we saw something we did not like and then just looked the other way for fear of offending someone?

I'm guessing you were already an established member on here with a different skoda before you got the Roomster. My point is more that it does seem that whenever a thread about the LE is started it ends up mainly negative and there does seem to be a few new members who are waiting for theirs who must be thinking they aren't welcome.

Opinions are of course very important and I wouldn't for one second say that you can't state them, but maybe sometimes when a new poster is as obviously as happy as a kid in a sweetshop about the LE, like the OP obviously is, then maybe we shouldn't rain on their parade?

All that you say about the LE in terms of a shame they didn't go down a more radical, route showing the firms rally/sport pedigree, is true, but the Octy 2 vRS LE is made now and is what it is.

I've said it in the other threads on the LE.

The wheels have certainly grown on me and I honestly quite like them.

I am currently considering a new vRS and when i first seen the LE pictures i thought the seats and wheels looked very tacky.

Having seen the LE in the flesh i would now say the leather seats appear to be very good quality and the wheels are pretty good too. Either way the pictures do not do this model justice and if i could order one with my prefered options then i would buy one.

Hey look boys, even though theres lots of negatives (reading previous thread) on the Octavia vRS LE wheels and leathers its still an vRS with all the performance and style...yes style as older ones...I reckon this one however will be even better with its 18inch wheels and lower suspension, enhancing roadgrip and fun taken those corners etc. and if I may say to those that dont like the interior.. well dont get into one, who will be missing out??

I have purchased a LE (company car). I have to say it love the dam thing, i test drove a 06 vrs and loved it hence i purchased the LE with seeing it.

When i got it, it felt so different inside it feels like sitting in a car thats 25k + the instrument pod is top class the full white looks classy at night,leathers are just right in touch and softness.

Wheels tbh i think look perfectly fine with the motor, everyone that has seen the car at work thas said it makes the car look more sporty from a distance.

when waiting to get the car i started reading the briskoda forums, and yes i did see alot of slagging of towards the LE, but people are allowed free speech. Tbh im not worried cos i think ive got a top top car for 16k
