Sidelight problem...

Featured Replies

Just fitted some ice blue headlight bulbs into my Fabia (which was a mission!). All of them work just fine, apart from one sidelight on the drivers side. I figured it was a faulty bulb, so I fitted the original sidelight back in, but that didnt work also  Im figuring theres a loose connection somewhere, or probably something else?

Might just be worth checking the fuse (listed as 'parking light' perhaps) I doubt such a low-power bulb would have its own fuse, but it doesn't cost anything to check...

is the side light in the right way cant remember if u have got to put them in a certon way

led sidelight bulbs have to be put in the correct way round, the Led's are polarity sensitive! Normal bulbs arent!

Which way round do they need to be? I really dont think its the bulb as I tried fitting them both ways they could go...this happened last time I fitted new bulbs in my car. The sidelight wouldnt come on even though I didnt change the bulb, so I just took the caveman approach and gave the headlight a good thump and it came on. Tried the same again but that didnt work :S

I might give the fuse a check though...
