Do you have to take the whole door card out to fit an electric/heated wing mirror unit on the vrs, or can you get away with just the tweeter cover?

You can but it gets fiddly to disconnect the plug and unclip it from its holder. You can go half way by removing all the screw fixings and pulling the trim away so that you can reach up behind it, saves the hassle of removing it completely.
