Weitec Suspension

Featured Replies

I was wondering if anyone has used the Weitec Ultra GT kit on their VRS. It seems like a good peice of kit and wondered how they compare to having to shell out for FSD's, Bilsteins and a set of springs?

Any info much appreciated folks.

Cheers

Not on a vRS, but had the same kit on an Astra. 55mm front, 40mm rear lower on that. For the money the kit was very, very good. Excellent handling and still pretty comfortable. Much smoother ride than the Bilstein B12 kit I had on my next Astra which was far too lumpy.

Would definately recommend the Weitec.

how much are they, you can get AP coilovers for less than 400 hundred sheets. Allowi to adjust to suit youn your taste. and if you want a full race setup, they wil corner weight your car for 150 sheets. prob less if they do it at the same time as installation. Always good to have a few ioptions. and i also believe they are bilt in the same factory

Can't remember which kit I had for my MkII Golf G60, it was their top of the line coilover kit, but it was horrendous! Even at maximum softness no-one could believe how hard it was. Set up at the standard G60 factory height, it was great for cornering but you felt everything everywhere else and potholes were a killer. In the end I reverted back to the original springs with Koni top adjustables and the ride was fantastic.

Personally, if this is the equivalent kit you're on about, i'd get it if I had a track car but if the one you want IS the fully adjustable coilover kit, for everyday use i'd steer well clear.

Don't know if they do anything for Octys, but everytime i've put Koni's on a car, the ride has been awesome! Stick to what you know I guess.

They are not Coilovers, just uprated dampers and springs. All in they cost £405 so not too bad a price.

Not really wanting coilovers as I just want something I can fit and forget, can't be assed faffing to get the same height all round then keeping threads clear if I want to adjust the height and all that waffle. Not for me.

You may be okay then.

Hi, I was wondering did you go ahead with these and if so would you recommend them?? These seem very well priced, could it be too good to be true ??

Ι've been running the SPAX RSX coilovers for two weeks now and I'm extremely pleased with them.I'm surprised that no one has tried them. They're reasonably priced and have a 28 stage adjustment feature.:):):)
