Are there any steps to replace air filter???

My air filter on Skoda-Octavia 2006 desiel model has turned full black. I've purchased a new air filter (From SAKURA) and just opened the screws from the filter element casing [black box] and replaced the filter.

Please suggest if I've to anything different.

Steps are,

- Undo and remove lid.

- Take out old filter that looks like a brick of coal.

- Clean out the airbox of any debris

- Put in new clean filter

- Do it all up

- Make sure none of the pipe, especially the small one under the main pipe have come loose.

- Replace at 10-20k mile intervals depending on your desires as by 40 you seem to lose a lot of MPG.
