Brake switch

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

Got an intermittent fault with my switch at the moment so I want to buy a spare before it totally dies.

My Q is.... Has anyone got a guide/pics of the installation of this little switch?

Got the Part # off Stu's website just need to know how to get the thing in there!

Cheers in advance

I would have thought that the "search" function would help you on this or some other VAG forums, I'm sure that it has been covered already.

Stick it in and turn it.

That simple.

Have searched around and have seen pics of the sensor in situ however not seen how I can actually get to the sensor to start with.. I guess just take the underside dash off near the pedal?

Remove lower trim on drivers side, unplug switch connector, twist switch left and remove. Fit new switch in reverse order, but swear in different places.

Fortunately this seems to be covered under the warranty and am meeting the head of servicing from Hayes, Clacton later to have him swap it over.

Underwoods in Colchester wanted £48.50 to change this part!
