Central Locking

Featured Replies

My 03 TDI has ben into the garage as a result of a timing belt failure. Now the Central locking does not work properly

1. Pushing the fob button many times only opens the drivers door - I can then lock the door remotely but the doors will not deadlock

2. If turn on the ignition and then turn off and remove key - all the doors open.

3. If I manually open the doors with the key they will all open - I can then lock and deadlock with the key used manually.

4. Apaprt from being in the garage I did change realy 109 with the battery still conected + the relay in front of it in the relay board under the dashboard.

Any thoughts

Have you tried disconnecting the battery leaving it for five minutes then reconnecting the battery hopefully this should reset the central locking for you.

Procedure For Matching Remote Key Fobs To The Car:

Using a spare key switch the ignition on.

Insert the key to be programmed into the driver's door lock.

Manually lock the driver's door using the key.

Press the Lock or Unlock button on the fob once.

Wait for a least one second.

Press the Lock or Unlock button on the fob twice.

The vehicle horn will sound to indicate correct programming.

hopefully one of these should work
