Skoda Stock radio/cassette deck

Featured Replies

i dint have a radio, and a friend of mine gave me a original skoda radio/cassette deck that he had store.

i was trilled when i saw the 10A fuse (10X12=120watts total power) thats enough for my voice drive and tweeters, and they're going to sound great

i saw in the back two conectors, the speakers wire where obvios, so was the power and ground (only one i did not undestand was the black one) but ontop of that conector there was another longer conector, i said to myself, "this must be the CD changer conector.... then mr. hyde came out (jhe jhe jhe)

so to make the long story short (too late) i'm building a docking cable for my ipod that will connect to the cd changer conector and i will run my ipod from there (hopefully i will figure out the data bus so i can control my ipod from the radio)

only thing missing was a line out, wich i will probably bilt myself latter for the sub-woofer amp (100w RMS)

I think this will be very difficult to do. I would try to get a dock for the dashboard so you can control the Ipod like that, and maybe use a 3.5mm jack to an aux input if there is one?

no, there is none aux in..

the most simple thing i can do is just buy a cassette adapter, and plug my ipod there, but it would mean that i would have to control de ipod manualy... not a huge problem...

but since i have to acept that sooner or later Mr. Hyde is going to come out and say "plug the ipod on the CD-changer DIN conector" i,m looking ofr the pinout of that din connector...

after i find the pin out, Left right, neutral are a sinch but the data bus and the chip i need are the thingst to match, if i find a good match, i will be able to control my ipod through the radio just as it was a CD-changer (you go Mr. Hyde)
