Which Exhaust?

Featured Replies

I am looking at replacing from the Cat back, I don't want a 'loud' exhaust as do a lot of motorway and in town stuff, but would like it to 'make a noise' if you follow?

Cheers

i had a blueflame turbo back exhaust. It made a great noise when being floored but dont think it was to loud

Recently had a Blueflame fitted. Fitted well, sounds good, but I wouldn't get one again. Terrible customer service.

Think I'd go Milltek next time- Awesome have got a brilliant Milltek promo running at the mo.

I have a Blueflame cat back system & is a really nice sound. It doesn't sound much louder than standard on the motorway, but as AndyVR6 stated the customer service at Blueflame was poor.

I got a LONGLIFE custom cat back and 200 cell cat and it is an awsome fit and doesnt hang like most Ive seen. also they can make it as quiate as you want.

I got it nice and on tickover it is nice worble and it sounds ace when goin for it and on a cruise it is nice and only a tad louder than std.

Which Longlife centre fitted it? I went to the one in Berkeley the other day, to get the Blueflame re-hung (it hadn't been fitted very well + was also slighly off centre). They replaced 3 clamps and removed the rear hanger, welded on a new one- all in 30 mins and charged £30 for the labour. Was very impressed. The fitter really new his stuff and barely stopped for a breath in the 30 mins.

I do think with Longlife/Powerflow, the quality of the work depends on which branch you go too. I'd thoroughly recommend the Berkeley branch.

I've got a turbo back Miltek, and sounds very burbly from outside the car on tickover - inside the car, with all windows closed I can hardly hear it.

At 60 - 70, the noise level is just the same as OEM IMHO, unless it's opened up, when most of the noise seems to come from the 70mm downpipe (well, being right next to the driver, it would) on full clatter. When it sounds great!

Where are you?

Offering special Briskoda deals at the moment on Scorpion cat backs.

Milltek all the way...non resonated will be fine

I allso bought a full milltek system from turbo back single box ,sounds nice on tick over and even better when givin it the beans,

I've got a powerflow cat back on mine and they will make them as loud or quiet as you want. I was there through the whole fitting so got just the sound i wanted.

Guarantee for as long as i own the car and i got to pick the tip i wanted.

Good luck with yours

Had Miltek Cat back resonated, got fed up with it knocking on the centre section. Then replaced that part with a none resonated section. Sounded ok. Like others have said not much different than standard.

I now have a Blueflame turbo back that sounds slightly louder than the miltek(not much though).

Had no problems with it, Re centralised it at the back box a couple of times.

I went to head place in cardiff mate.

choise of tip(hundreds to choose)

life time warranty so so long as its on the car it is covered. jus tell them you sell car and the persons name and new owner is covered too.

they are good and mine is nice and i said I wanted it so you cant see it unlike some pre made ones that the back box is visible from the rear when sat in another car. mine isnt.

I have Milltek turbo-back and I'm very pleased about it. It sounds great ;)

I have a Jetex turbo back fitted, looks good (tailpipe looks almost original),fits good, sounds good when "pushing on a bit" otherwise its quiet.
