Octavia Hazard/Indicator Part No. Query

Featured Replies

Hi,

Have read a number of messages from people with a similar problem to me. When I turn on my left or right indicators they flash a few time and then stop even though the switch is on. Consensus seems to be to check the hazard relay first. I did this and found that if I press the hazard switch the hazard flashers behave exactly the same way.

However I notice that there are a couple of part numbers quoted for replacements i.e. 1U0 953235B 300 and 1U0 953235E 300. The latter is described as uprated but I can't seem to find one anywhere, all those quoted on the web seem to be theB series. What is the difference ? Incidentally I do use the car for caravan towing.

Best regards

Roger

IIRC, as you say one is a standard switch/relay, and the other is uprated.

Try Jorily either via the forum, or his ebay shop - they're very good at sorting folk out with the right part for their needs.

I have just changed mine after experiencing similar problems. My local Skoda parts dept provided the B300

The E300 is the uprated (towing) one, which is the only one we stock at work. You should be able to order one from your dealer. They are around £30.
