When testdriving the vRS and L&K, both I and the wife thought the vRS seats were too hugging. I'm quite a big guy but the wife isn't so I knew it wasn't me and I asked her her opinion before I said anything so when she confirmed what I thought, I knew I wasn't imagining it.

Oddly I drive Octavias, Passats, Vectras, Mondeos, Omegas (I'm guessing you now know my occupation), and the car I chose to own was the best of the bunch for both comfort and running costs.

Seconded. The seats in Vauxhall's SRi/VXR cars are IIRC Recaros - so they're the best.

And those I sat in in an Insignia SRi recently were superb, but not as good as the ones in my vRS.

i regularily drive from plymouth to hannover in germany non stop and neither myself or my wife have ever had issues with the seats. if anything ive had loadsa people comment on how comfy they are. it ct setting on my satook abouty a week to initially find the correct setup for me.

I am 5'10'' and once had the seat pushing on my thighs and couldn't get it comfortable. Try lowering the seat fully then bring it back up, as it seems to come up sloping forward slightly and takes the pressure off your thighs......Tell me if it helps?

Well, having a fiddle about with the seat. I have managed to adopt a much more comfortable seating position.

The only thing is i usually like to sit low in the car haha, now im on stilts.

After a long time fiddling and adjusting I love the seats in mine, the rear centre seat tho, thats another story.

I did come across mine in sheffield though, doncaster motorspares relisted theres on ebay. But seem optimistic at £510.

I got mine for £350!

EDIT: There at £400 now.
