Should I get the wheels white or anthracite?

Featured Replies

Hi

I wanted to change the look of my Mk1 Octy so im getting the Spider wheels coated, I dont know if I should get a Off white or anthercite, the dark ones really speckled in the sun but Iv never seen the standard wheels in white on a red car....any suggestions?

Im getting them done for £40 a wheel including removal and refitting of the tyres, balancing and a new valve, this isnt to bad, is it?

Cheers guys

Matt

I had the same dilema with my red Fabia

see here for the results (and some dodgy photoshopping!)

white would be a nightmare to keep clean i think but that price seems very very good compared to what i was quoted

anthracite without a doubt! i'm planning on doing mine soon! £40 per wheel seems really good. post pics when they have been done, whatever route you choose!

Hi

Yes I have just made my mind up....im going dark...I can add another speckle for a fiver a wheel, it sort of looks bluey yellow.....im not going to do that but just to give you an idea of the price.

Im having it done at a Place in Shavington, Cheshire, I have had powder coating of other parts (like my lambretta) done there and they did a top job

Ill post the before and afters soon, also going to get a Cupra front splitter fitted :)

Cheers guys

Matt

Shame you've made your choice to go dark, I think black/anthracite has been over done now; would have been nice to see white on a red car even if it would involve a lot of cleaning. (So says he who has black wheels on his yellow Skoda since 2003!)

Shavington.....ha !
