Disable all windows open/close from remote

Featured Replies

My dad has a 56 reg Audi A4 (think that makes it an 8P chassis) and he keeps triggering the function on the remote which unlocks the car and opens all the windows. This ends up with all the windows open and the alarm going off. So basically he wants to disable this function.

I assume this can be done either by the dealer or with Vagcom and just wanted someone who knows these things to confirm you can. I presume it is done through the central convenience unit.

Answers on a postcard please.

Yes you can disable it with VCDS

Can't remember whether its in central electrics or central convienience but it is in there.

It under the central convenience (46)

Failing that would it not be easier to take the keys out of his pocket?

Thanks for that guys. I was fairly sure you could do it. the car is going in for a service next month so he is going to ask the dealer about it first. Knowing what dealers seem to be like they will probably claim you can't do it though, so I was just after confirmation.

I just spotted that in central convenience playing with a mate's VAGcom. Look for comfort * functions, I even think you can disable just the comfort opening via remote control and still allow him to close it by holding the button pressed, and open/close it with key in fob.
