Thanks

Seems quite an increase but hey-ho

I bet you'd get it for the original price if you asked !!

At the moment, probably, but it's just a tad too early yet.

Having seen the spec of the L&K I'm being rapidly drawn in. I need to find some time to visit South Ruislip and organise some test drives of the various engines.

I need a good motorway cruiser and I'm sceptical about the 1.4 engine. The reports are good and it seems to have sufficient power on paper. Is it a quiet motorway cruiser with power on tap when needed ?

I have also considered speccing up a 1.4 Elegance DSG to include SatNav, Bluetooth, etc

cant beat diesel torque on the motorway in my opinion having just gone from a 250bhp vRS to a Passat 170TDi, i prefer the diesel on the motorway any day

Yes - that's what I'm thinking. The 1.4 looks good on paper but the 2.0 DSI sounds like a real motorway cruiser.

I organise a test drive though just to be sure as a 1.4 Elegance does save quite considerably.
