Hi all,

I'm wanting to find out a bit of history about a certain vRS that used to belong to my father in law, I beleive it may have been a press car when the car was launched back in 2001.

The car started with Y*** RRV (if you need full number I can pm the full number), my father in law purchased it in 2005 from a local garage in Inverkeithing, fife, Scotand, I believe he may have been the second owner as the car had it's original dealer plates from Ingrams in Ayr and he sold it December 06 for a Fabia Comfort.

The car resided in fife for about two years and now I see the car in Edinburgh on my to my parents.

I remember a thread about the press cars a while ago and looked on the search function and cannot locate this, if anybody can help that would be great, and if you require the full registration number I can pm this as do not want to put it on a public forum.

One of the press cars was owned by freakcrab, though I believe his was an X-reg...he might know about some of the other press cars if he's done any research on it though...

If its Y with just two numbers I still have the Autocar reprint from Autocar magazine 16th May 2001, that car is Y** RVV.

Just a side point is this article with the red vRS at somewhere like Silverston, if so where did you get it as was trying to find a copy recently?

It's a Y Plate with three numbers, I do remember seeing a post with this showing autocar with a red octy on the cover but could not find this.

there was a few copys of auto car on e bay not sure i aint sure if they am still on there and they ha:thumbup:d this red octy on the front cover

I have two of the Autocar reprints showing the test of the Red Mk1 Octy vRs Y81 RVV, so if two "FREEDOM" members who actually own Mk1 Octy vRS's want them, please let me know and I will gladly post them to you foc.

Will also include the original dealer leaflets April/2001 for the Mk1 Octy vRS showing pictures of a rally red one (Best Colour) with them.
