Radio dead after a flat battery.

Featured Replies

Hello all.

I have a X reg (2000) Octavia.

Recently I left my lights on and my battery went flat. After getting a jump start off of my friends car, all was fine except for the radio - it is dead to the world.

It isn't the fact that I haven't entered a code; I know the code but the radio is dead.

I have checked the fuses in the main fuse box of the car, but didn't know if there was anything else I needed to check in order to resurrect my radio.

Any advice gratefully received.

Regards - BAC

There should also be a fuse on the back of the radio. Usually yellow (5a).

I had the same thing with my Octy II when I flattened the battery, as above, I'd popped the fuse on the back of the radio.
