battery light

Featured Replies

hi there, just used car and battery light flashed on for about 2 seconds whilst driving seems ok now, any ideas why?

Perhaps alternator belt oily, skidding?

thanks for the help, car checked out at the dealers, no faults found, so got to keep an eye on it

Might be worth checking the voltage at the battery yourself a few times over the next few weeks (should be 12.5 - 13v with engine off, approx 8-10v while starting and around 14.5v with engine running). Might save you getting stuck if there is an intermittent problem that didn't show up when the dealer checked it. Basic multi-meters can be pretty cheap if you haven't already got one.
