Anyone going to the Scottish Touring Car thing this Sunday? Just wondered what to expect from the day. Supposedly starts with qualifying at 9am and finishes at 5pm

Any ideas about parking or what time is best to arrive / leave for traffic reasons? Any tips on the best places on circuit to take pictures would great as well

best place for pictures is on the inside of the track at dufus dip or around that area.

you can also get pictures as car come into and out of the hair pin down the other end (you need to be on the outside of the track for this).

i wanted to go up as a mini i'm sponsoring is racing in the mini challenge but i'm landed with working all weekend :(

not sure how busy it will be but you may want to make sure you arrive for 8.45am or a little earlier to avoid queue's if it starts at 9.

Thanks for that. We ended up arriving around 11am in time for the 2nd race of the day. Parking wasn't a problem, and facilities were much better than I was expecting. Great you get to walk around the "paddock" to look at all the cars. Some great action on the mini cup racing, and the 2 focus' in the scottish saloon and sports car event were awesome - 1400bhp between them! Here's a couple of pictures from the day

We ended up just heading down to the hairpin to avoid some of the rain. Stood in the middle of the track to get some good views for the mini cup racing, but not the best photo's.

Do you know what mini it was, I might have some pictures.
