Talbot Sunbeam Lotus

Featured Replies

My Dad asked me if I could wash his Talbot Sunbeam Lotus for him as he's going out in it tomorrow and needs it looking nice. So I washed it, but then I decided it need more than just a wash so ended up spending 5 hours on it giving it a wash, a claying, polishing and 2 coats of wax. Pics as follows:

It started off like this:

Then 2 coats of Meg's carnuba wax:

Hopefully, he might let me drive it now, but then I wouldn't want to risk getting it dirty!

Very nice. Looks in fine condition.

Very nice car, very clean and tidy. I want one:D

Car pRon. One of the truly original hot hatches. Looks in great shape too. They were around 6 seconds to 60 mph back in the day. Still impressive now. In between engine builds of course :)

Lovely!

6.8 seconds is the quoted figure. This one had an engine rebuild just after my Dad got it about 15 years ago. Runs sweet, sounds awesome and with the limited slip diff it provides much sideways fun

Never driven it myself though :(

Limted Slip Diff And A Bop Bop Bop !!!!!!

That takes me back, second car I ever owned was one of those. I absolutely loved it and it was v.fast for the day. I had it for about 18 months and then sold it to a mate who rolled it after he'd had it about 10 days

Nice wheels and a nice cleaning job there.

Nice!! Don't see many of those on the road.

Awesome little car that with a 'classic' paint job, love it and good work.......
