Gateway does not communicate.

Featured Replies

Took car into dealers for service and asked if the servicing interval could be looked at.

Car is meant to be on variable servicing.

First at 18k, second at 24, third at 29 now just gone in at 36.

Suspect the dealer has been changing this to fixed as each time the miles to next service was at 9400 miles.

Anyway, dealer has said I canthave car back as they have a problem.

They say the gateway module is not communicating with the rest of the car, however it does not report any faults.

They pulled a load of fuses to try to reset something and now cannot gain access to the abs, airbags and a number of other modules.

They tried a new gateway module, with no difference and have now said they are going to look at the instrument module.

This is an MY08 octavia L&K 140pd. Everthing was running sweet as a nut, however they now seem to have broken it.

I took a VCDS reading about a month ago after having a new car kit installed by Vodafone.

I scanned all the modules with no faults through can gateway or direct into each module as a complete scan.

I heard something on the forum before which mentions VAS compatiblity with the VAG test computer and some modules loosing coding.

Is this possible they have inadvertantly wiped the can gateway and locked themselves out.

They mentioned that on Monday they will be able to have access to Skoda direct tech support, so heres hoping they fixit.
