Sunset glass for second hand Octavia

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have just brought a 2006 Skoda Octavia combi and take delivery of it at the end of the week. Given that its a used car, the sunset glass isnt an option for me. So was looking at getting a tint, and was wondering if anyone knew what percentage tint sunset glass is? Would like my tint to be something that is close to factory delivered and doesnt interfere with the the autodim rear mirror.

Many thanks

Mike.

Can't tell you a percentage mate, but the sunset tint is hardly noticable, mine goes in next week to 'Kent Auto Film' in Herne Bay, 200 quid for 'b' pillar back, Iand have a choice of about 6 grades.

Had my Vrs estate done, one shade darker than original.

It was £250 for B pillar back with all trim removed so no gaps.

It is very clear even at night looking out but you can hardly see in.

Done by Tint-R in Nottingham, takes about 3 hours.

Just taken a photo but its dark already.

Here is the car in daylight.

All seems O.K. Rear window heater working fine. Windows action all O.K. with no scrathing.
