Hello. If anyone here is also a member of the Honest John Backroom, I'm known there as Avant (after a previous much-loved Audi). Here I've assumed the name of a fine old Czech (actually Bohemian) composer who was in his day as well-known as his contemporaries Dvorak and Smetana.

Real name David Duvall - training manager for a large firm of accountants so boring on two counts - also parish church organist at Sonning-on-Thames. If asked 'are you David Duval the golfer' I can claim I used to own a Golf Estate (true - it was a turbodiesel).

SWMBO has a Mini Cooper and I also have an old Y-registered BMW Z3 as a fun car (it is).

Matt - thanks for your good wishes. My eponymous hero Fibich is known nowadays only for a piece called 'Poem' from a longer piece 'At Twilight' - but he did write lots of other stuff as well including three symphonies.
