What springs for 2.0 tdi 140?

Featured Replies

Hey all, Ive saved up enough for springs now (will prob get FSD later, was going to get it same time, but got a set of 18's instead) so can anyone tell me what the choices are for my 2.0 TDI? Ive searched around, but all I see mentioned are Eibach...

Should tell you something then

Search for anything that fits a MKV Golf

I do have a set of vRS springs from my MK2 vRS as i have Eibach's on mine. Find out how much postage to you would be from cheshire then make me an offer. IIRC vRS springs are harder and 10mm lower than OEM

thanks mater, but unfortunately I cant use the TFSI springs, they aint made for the heavier diesel. Ive looked at the golf options too, and the H&R springs look good, but I dont see them for the octy.

Im actually not convinced anymore I have 'Sports' suspension? (although it was sold to me as having it as part of the pack with pegasus alloys..)

heres some pics, note the back gap is with a FULL tank of fuel, although im on a slight decline..

EDIT:sorry had to change imagehost

If you had the pegasus alloys, then your car has the sport suspension. It was only possible to get the pegasus alloys with the sport suspension option.

Yep, I had it on my old Octavia, Pegasus + sports suspension. Its quite hard to tell the difference over standard even with 2 Octavias parked side by side.

sorry, I had to re edit to get the pictures to show, what do you think guys? and can anyone shed further light on what my spring options are?

AFAIK the Octy sport supension springs are lower than the Vrs springs, I would save the money and keep it for your Koni shocks.

I thought you could get pegasus alloys as well from the dealers without sports suspension, which was a factory option? So, I am assuming then that your car was new with pegasus alloys and sport suspension?
