Just wondering if anyone has any experience of the relatively cheap Gendan fault code readers as per below?

Thought one might come in useful but unsure about them and whether they would work with both cars 2001 Fabia 1 and 2007 Octy II)

Dad's got one, used it on my 2004 Octavia and a few other cars, basic but does the job

I have that exact model and it works great for general testing. Pretty much idiot proof and you can't tweek things and cause problems
