VRS Side Gearbox Mount

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a VRS with a Vibra Technics Dogbone rear Engine mount but I've noticed my Gearbox mount (uderneath the Airbox) is moving around 1.5"'s so I reckon its time to change it.

Does anyone know the part number from Skoda? How much it costs? And does anyone make an uprated version?

Cheers,

Neil

Someone must of replaced this surely? Or do they tend not to go?

these only got when you stiffen the dogbone, something has to give or be upgraded, i solved this problem a different way, i drilled and tapped the big end of my dogbone and screwed bolts in to it, this way my bush stiffness in adjustable, aand i see no problems with the gearbox or top engine mount yet. hope this can help but can't help with the part number for the gearbox mount, but i got one few months back and it wasn't too expensive

Mine went and the cars standard! knocking when dropping the clutch, going over bumps etc. seemed to be caused by it. Mine moved back and forth about 3 inches tbh with car in gear hb off. Visually looked okay though

Not sure on part numbers or price really as i let someone else take care of that and I had some other work done at the same time. I may have the receipt lying around somewhere will have a look

I have replaced one, about £75 trade i think. Easy job.
