Skoda Owners Beware Your alloy wheels not safe

Featured Replies

My alloys are safe'n'sound in my cellar, unless I'm due to go on track. I doubt they'll be too bothered for knicking my Golf steelies :D

Depends how good the tyres are.

the Skoda dealers will probably have master sets with all the key variations in

in fact every dealer for every manufacturer will have master sets of some kind

so us technicians can get the damn wheels off on a service when the customer has left the key at home or the customer has lost the key

I've got McGard ultras, they have a rotating cuff on the outside of the bolt to stop this.

You'd need to drill them off.

Probably more than enough to stop anyone bothering to steal OEM Skoda alloys.

The key is a bit feckin fragile though. I've broken one and had to order a replacement from Germany.

I did the same... also now only use a wheel brace rather than the wrench.
