I am struggling to get access to two sparkplugs on my Fabia 1 (1.4l 16V 100bhp). The oil filler's metal "lip" hangs over the plugs. I have removed the rubber ring around it, but still no access possible. Any ideas? Checked it in the Haynes, but no mention of it. HELP!:rotz:

I replaced the spark plugs on this engine myself and I remember it being a bit awkward but I don't remember having a major problem. I presume you are using a socket set with an extender to reach down into the recess?

If you're talking about the oil filler extension, then it twists off just like the cap does.

Exactly, its just a cranked extension - and you are right it does need to be removed to replace the plug on cylinder one.
