engines convesions

what engines would fit in2 a felicia pickup 1.3l? would like a stright swop really any help? thanks pedge

If you get a complete car (or van/pickup), so you've got all the bits you need, a 1.6 petrol or 1.9D is a straight swap.

TeflonTom is working on fitting a 2.0l (ex Golf) and that's needing a fair bit of fabrication (mounts and new intake plenum and manifold). Search for 2.0l Felicia and settle down for a read.

The only engines that are a straight swap are the felicia engines. So a 1.3 (SPi and MPi), 1.6 MPi and 1.9 SDi diesel.

You could stick and SDI in there and I have known turbo convertions done relatively simply so you would probably end up with 90bhp.

Of course if you have the time, patience and of course money the world is your oyster. There have been a few felicias with engine transplant including, but not limited to, a VR6, 1.8T, 2.0 etc etc.

Phil

there are a few vw engines that will fit the gear box using the 1.6/1.9 connecting plate, but thats about were the easy bit ends and the custom mounts start.
