Well I have to say you picked a great road in the Kirkstone pass Simeon. Even going alongsied is Ulswater is stunning. Really glad you enjoyed yourself, I'll have an ice cream on your behalf next time I'm there...lol, maybe go for 4 scoops...lol

Gutted we left late :(

We started off the fun stuff on the A5074 to Bowness. Stayed there a while. Then went down the Kirkstone pass to Ulswater. A5091, A66, B5289 (some very nice views) then done a right at Buttermere, then A591 and then headed home.

Just to say a small thanks to all had a great day out even after a nightshift it was was well worth staying up for.

Luuurve the Skoda ZT... or was it an MG vRS ??? ;) ...either way, it sounded a beast!

You can call it whatever you like but to get that noise costs sub 20mpg,still worth every penny when you drive roads like the ones round Cumbria.

Again thanks for me and my son Andy for a great day out.

Steve.

Cracking pics Simbo, thanks for sharing, I was feeling quite ill after the 4 scoops of ice cream, prob the fact that I never knew what I was getting!

Once we had filled up at the golf course that was me till 2pm on sunday as I was stuffed!

I'll get a date sorted for the next on. Although some new roads are required I feel, depending on who comes I suppose though.
