53 plate vrs 40,000 miles

Orange engine light came on last week been to my local dealer.

They say not water pump, thermostat or sensors, needs more investigation.

Black box inbetween expansion tank and washer bottle making loud clicking noise.

Any ideas or experiences?

Could be just low coolant level? could be level sensor in header tank is shot? Anyone near you with vagcom to look for codes? and i believe the black box your asking about could be the carbon canister and it is meant to 'tick' on tickover.
