If the car has gone into safe mode, you probably want to take it to the dealer rather than reset anything. If the DPF is clogged so badly it can no longer regenerate, you might kill it by ignoring this fact (they are very expensive to replace). Safe mode isn't for nothing, it's trying to prevent you harming your car!

Is it the BMN engine and have you had a recall for the pressure sensor and reflash?

If you try to reset the car with an existing DPF issue you could put your warranty at risk. As has already mentioned they are quite pricey. A fully saturated DPF trying to regenerate can pose a fire risk so get it off to the dealer to be safe.
