I had a service done today by our very own skudmissile!

John said it was the worst he's seen!

I just looked and smiled :P

I'd guess that you could leave that for a few more years - that is if you believe in Santa Claus. Anti-ageing face cream might sort it out a bit - well it would fill in the "pores", its bound to work I've seen it on the TV!

Its not entirly the worst one I have seen..... but the others involved pistons kissing valves and valve stems shapped like bannanas

Dont worry though folks, its soon to be fixed ;)

Whoa!!! Lucky you found that when you did , it looks not long for this world!

I'm afrayed that doesn't look too good!:D

Looking at your photo, it seems to have some surface rust on the cam sprocket and surrounding area, is there water getting in there?

Its only light surface rust, nothing bad really. probably made worse by the high iron content in the steel used for the pully.

Dude know all his shit!

I've taken a worse one off a Scirocco I owned- it had cracked only in one place but was 1/2 way through- that was 60k miles/10 years old, in the days when no change interval was specified.
