air in the gas pipe

Featured Replies

Hi folks

Hope you can help on this one.

When I look at the transparent plastic pipe between the gas-oil filter and the engine, I see air bubbles. (when the engine is running and somebody's pressing the gas pedal)

What's the deal here? Is this really an issue? what are the causes? do I need a new filter?

Thanx

Yen

Is you engine not running properly? What are the symptoms?

My old Octy did it, and the Superb does it. Unless your having problems with the cars running, I wouldnt worry about it...my expierience tells me its normal.

Had the same on my Peugeot 505. Nothing to worry about.

I just saw it when fixing a leak in the air system (the big pipe behind the right headlight).

As I don't know how long this is going on for, it's hard to feel anything different than normal, but everything looks ok....

Its perfectly normal.
