anyone know where climate control diagnostics intructions are,....i've searched and searched...can't find it.....i did see it some months ago?

Funny you should mention that...

I had a go a couple of weeks ago at making sense of the pidgin English translation. I was originally thrown by the OP mentioning a Spanish translation. However the "foreign" words in the text are not Spanish but Italian. Any Italian speakers out there who can make more sense of it? After hunting around for an internet dictionary I got as far as:

Translations:

accensione/avvio – ignition/start

Ripartitore – distribution

Bocchetta – nozzle or vent

Areazione - airflow

SX = sinistro – left side

DX = destro - right side

Umidita – humidity

Piedi – feet

Disinserito – disconnected

ad.eccezione.della – with the exception of

dodgy translations:

"shovel" mean the control flaps

"facade" means facia.

With this in mind I spent time going through the various numbers to see what the values were and if they made sense.

First thing I found was that the available data on my Octy don't match 100% with the list but most seem to tie in.

Most of the values relate to set-point ("theoretical") and actual ("found") values within the climate control - temperatures and air distribution with data for left and right sides.

The only ones useful for every day purposes

number 19

19.0 - road speed in kph

19.1 - road speed in mph

19.2 - engine temperature

19.3 - engine rpm/100

19.4 - aircon compressor rpm/100

number 21 (if you are trying to work out if any air should be coming through a particular vent:

21.0-4 somehow describes the air distribution between the demister, centre, side and footwell vents but I haven't worked it out fully yet

When I get time I will play some more

yea...i'm trying to diagnose my ac not working....there is no voltage going into the compressor...after checking .....so maybe one of the sensors not working....and so it's staying off

i thought the diagnostic codes might reveal something...

but i can't read them????

I think there is oil pressure and temp in there somewhere?
