remap stats please post

Featured Replies

In my view since having the remap done, it certainly makes the car faster, but its the all-round package that impresses me most, having more MPG, a smoother drive, and something that pulls so so well midrange is just unbeatable. Ive noticed going up certain hills near me (Telegraph Hill being one of them) that the car is a good 10-15mph faster than what it was before the remap.

what remap it was? Angel Tuning

the bhp and torque figure 172 BHP / 302 lbft

how many miles have you had it for now? 500

did it break your clutch? No slippage yet!

would you recommend it? Ohhh yess (said like the Churchill Dog)

Did you not have before and after rolling roads. I thought this was inc of price

No, it's extra

And I don't want to get into chasing numbers.

I like what it does, that's enough for me :)

I thought it was all included, at least thats what p torque told me veryvery recently. maybe things have changed then

Previously it wasn't. It's definately included now though.

You should add your name to the P-Torque group buy interest thread. :)

Possible Group Buy interest - BRISKODA - The Skoda Forums

mines booked in at awesome gti 2 weeks today, il let ya know how it goes :)

Maybe it's because I'm a Yorkshireman ..... RR was extra at the time on the group buy - see http://briskoda.net/performance-torque/p-torque-group-buy/125841/

Reminds me of an old joke

Q : "What's the difference between a Yorkshireman and a coconut ?"

A : "You can get a drink out of a coconut"

does it really matter? rolling roads aren't 100% accurate. the info you get is from the person who sold you the remap anyway

:)

I have 2 to post:

what remap it was? Angel Tuning

the bhp and torque figure 163 BHP / 270 lbft

how many miles have you had it for now? kept it for 2k miles

did it break your clutch? No, not enough torque

would you recommend it? Not at all, smoked badly and made low power figures!

what remap it was? PDtuning

the bhp and torque figure 189BHP / 340 lbft

how many miles have you had it for now? 4000

did it break your clutch? Upgraded to a Helix one to cope with torque

would you recommend it? Yes, massive improvement over the other map.

(car made 144bhp standard with 236 ft/lb all figures tested on a Dyno Dynamics dyno. Car has decat exhaust system, large front mount and modded airbox)

your easily pleased! i couldnt leave the garage without knowin exactly what power i had. before or after, then ya know what ball park your in compaired with other furbys.

Sorry mate but you'll be lucky if a rolling road gives the same readout twice.

It's no accurate comparison as yours could be done and read 180bhp & 310lbft then you go to a rolling road day, fire it on for a laugh, get 168bhp & 290lbft.

How gutted are you going to be?

Certain rolling roads are extremely accurate and give very very good repeatable power figures. if you stick to the same dyno for testing and the dyno has a built in weather station to compensate for ambient temps, intake temps, humidity etc... your figures will be within 1-2% repeatable each time.
