Engine Management Light.....Riddle me this...

Featured Replies

Hey guys, got a weird one for you today!

Driving home yesterday on the motorway (no more than 60 as was rush hour traffic) arrived home and the engine management light came on. Took the car for a spin and as far as i can tell there is NO difference to anything at all? Only thing i can think of is it's due a service, do the lights come on after the service light has been flashing (it's about 2K over due) Checked all the pipes and hoses as well as all the usual oil and water to make sure there is nothing strange going on and can't see anything. I've left it at home for today.

I can't get it plugged in till Thursday/Friday at the earliest and i need it for work tomorrow, wanted to know if it's safe to drive or not?

Thanks

Could be absolutely anything really

You need to get a handheld scanner so you can at least get the code and put your mind at rest – or **** yourself depending on the code

I can't get my hand on the scanner till tomorrow night now, just hope it's nothing serious as it's due the cambelt change!
