Dimsport remaps - any opinions?

Featured Replies

Hi all.

Been meaning to ask this for ages, but keep on forgetting.

A long established tuners in Edinburgh is offering two options with the dimsport remap - first option is about £280 for the generic map, with the second option costing about £340 for the same map tweeked to your car, and with a rolling road readout.

I had a bit of a chat with the guys and they seem very genuine and helpful, and say that for the 180bhp 1.8T one would expect about a 30bhp increase -so no wild claims there.

I'm well aware that Star over in Fife are more well known in this field; however, the issue would be what do do with myself for the several hours that the car will be being worked on. Living in East Lothian, at least I can at least visit family or the many touristy areas that I have yet to see in the capital, whereas the options to keep myself occupied around where Star is based.....not a lot methinks!

So, any nightmare stories of big thumbs up about Dimsport? I did a search but apart from one thread on tuning boxes, all other mention of them are at least a couple of years old.

All advice would be gratefully received.

Ta muchness

Steve

Dimsport aren't tuners. They are an Italian company that supply tuning hardware that companies use. This'll more likely be the hardware that they're using to map the vehicle, but not actually the company that creates the map such as revo, custom code etc which is why you wont find too much about them.
