Audi TT Caressa wheels .. 17x7,5, ET38

Cheers

hey guy's

Im looking to get alloys to replace the steels on my octavia.

Is the spacing on the vRS any different to the non vRS model?

can i swap the 15" steels for 18" alloys (white), and what tyre sizes do you run?

actually if anyone has some vRS alloys you dont need anymore, I'd have a set.

Hmmmm I fancy some Innovit wheels as another option.

I'm baffled on sizes though. Do I go for -

7.5 or 8.0 x 18 inches wide?

ET35 or 45?

And what size tyres? I will be lowering it slightly but not too much.

No suppliers seem to give you straight answers these days!

Talking of suppliers, can anyone point towards a good one???

Thanks again

et 35 mate, and 8j rims. yes they are wider but 8j with et35 keeps the same/ similar centre as the 7j et 38 std rims think 38 is correct?

Be warned tho mate, Due to them bein wider I suffered with bad groove steer, also was down to the rims being so damn heavy lol, now with the TD PR1.2 they are better than std and I get better Economy out of them.(+3-4mpg) 9kg each rim std are at a guess 12kg? pos more. all adds up.

Hmmmm I was thinking of some replicas, I understand they are usually very heavy though!

So, I may just swallow the extra cost and go for the TDs.

Where did you get yours mate and do you have any pictures of your car side on?

Thanks again!

I've found some in your gallery, thanks mate!

lol

ne worries mate, I got them off ebay, billyboys tyres in sheffield iirc.

ordered them and took jus over 2 week to get them. cost 700 ish with tyres. sp712 came on them and they are nobad in the dry but bit scary in the damp/wet lol in the dry tho they grip very well as I found out on the wales coast road lol on my way back to camp one sunday.

I liked the replicas I had on, mk5 R32s. Looked smart imho, look on cardomain in my sig mate and there is a few in there, worth £400 wi tyres and once the tyres are done get new rims lol and so long as you kept the rims clean then you get reasonable money for them. I only did it as it was cheaper gettin them an sellin the std rims.

Dont have to get silver rims, they do a few colours.

billy

here are a few of the car as std but with the mk5 R32 rims on mate

Thank you.

I think red cars look better with white rather than black wheels.

IIRC Citroen done the red C2 & C4 with white wheels.

They look mint Jay! Really nice mate...

Typical though, I ordered mine on Monday, I went for 18"s.

Maybe I should have gone for 17"s.....

Thanks for your help everyone!

18's will look great

I just want to keep weight down and keep original size as they will be mainly used for track use.
