When travelling slowly its smooth but when travelling down the motorway at 70 the steering wheel shakes or vibrates. could anyone tell me if its the tracking or wheel alignment as i aint got a clue what the difference is between them? Hopefully aint expensive as im seem to be spending all the time at the mo!

Cheers mate. Might get the alignment down aswell as my steering wheel is slightly off centre if you understand.?!

I had the same symptom on my old Ibiza TDi Sport - went into a tyre place to get tracking and alignment and they told me i had 2 illegal tyres and 2 borderline 4 new boots later and the wobble had gone.

My Fabia pulls to the left though...

Wheels unbalanced, weight fallen off, bad tyres, buckled rims, lots off front suspension to make it wobble but a visit to a tyre shop to check balancing first is the cheapest option.
